Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager - South Yorkshire

Our Client has an opportunity for a Procurement manager to join the company, and be an essential part of building their business and maintaining their competitive edge. This role is of strategic importance to our Client in their outsourcing role plus continuing to provide their clients with best practice and industry expertise, working alongside clients and projects analysing expenditure, highlighting savings opportunities. Alongside this, the successful candidate will work independently on building their area of expertise and knowledge base for the good of their clients.

Role Specification: The successful candidate will aim to continually develop the business using their procurement knowledge, skills, technology and sound commercial judgement. This role demands a candidate with proven expertise and confidence within purchasing of facilities management services, and would suit someone with drive and motivation to succeed and further develop their career. The role will be based at our Head office in Sheffield and it is envisioned that there will also be a degree of UK travel between, Suppliers, Customers and Client Operated Sites. The successful candidate will have ideally achieved (or working towards) a CIPS qualification; alongside the following key competencies:

Skills and Competencies:

· Extensive proven competence within professional services procurement preferably in a Services / Commodities type role (i.e. negotiating service agreements and buying parts or materials)

Knowledge of Best Practice Procurement tools and techniques i.e. E-Commerce such as E-Sourcing.
Knowledge of supply chain design and management; alongside good relationship management and contract management skills.
Skilled in implementing and managing outsourcing strategies
· Proven expertise in undertaking the RFI, RFQ and tender processes.· Self-sufficient in a work environment, possess effective problem-solving skills, the ability to absorb information quickly, and prioritise multiple tasks on a daily basis.

The ability to negotiate up-to-date agreements and best procurement terms for individual or blanket orders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and proposals to a clients, colleagues or board of senior executives; also able to work effectively within groups and departments.
· The ability to deliver full and comprehensive results quickly and efficiently, ensuring sourcing targets are met consistently.

· You will have excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing skills together with strong oral and written communication skills while rigorously applying a high attention to detail in all that you undertake.

· Highly numerate with a strong sense of financial awareness and commercial acumen.

· Excellent IT skills especially within Excel.

Data literate with strong analytical skills; and knowledge of the technology used within procurement.
